This software helps decompile flash movies into FLA code, to FLEX, to elements etc.
Sothink SWF Decompiler is a comprehensive solution as SWF to FLA converter, SWF to FLEX converter, SWF elements extractor, and online Flash downloader. The operations can be carried out in batch mode that saves you a lot of time. SWF elements, such as shapes, images, sounds (mp3, wav), videos (flv), frames, fonts, texts, buttons, sprites, ActionScript, etc. can be extracted. Besides the preview player in the center of the interface, the software integrates four windows. The one on top left show you the details of files on the machine in windows explorer fashion. The player has the play controls and a progress indicator. The window below that shows you the files you are working on currently and the list in the current batch. The top window on the right shows you the structure of the decompiled elements indicating at what level they are. One below that shows the stats related to the movie you are working on. Main controls on the top toolbar are fairly self-explanatory.
This Flash decompiler is compatible with Windows 7. It supports Flash 6/7(MX 2004)/ 8/9(CS3)/10(CS4) and ActionScript 2.0/3.0. Multi language interfaces that include English, German, French, Traditional Chinese, Italian and Korean are available. It also has an online Flash downloader, SWF Catcher, which will assist you to capture and save Flash through IE and Firefox. Because this program can decompile and make elements available so easily, there can be temptation to use them in something of your own. Be aware of copyright issues though. If you are into a lot of SWF work, this tool can prove to be very handy to save time and increase productivity.
